Back in town

I just returned home from a couple days in New York with some college friends. We were blessed with warm weather and no rain so, I opted for this lighter weight coat by Milly for Banana Republic, which was the right choice. It was easy packing in my Dooney & Bourke weekender—with pockets, plenty of room and a shoulder strap it was ideal for walking 10+ blocks! It feels good to be back home (even if it's only for three days!)before I have to pack up my things again and head back to Providence.

Rainy day blues

Another rainy/snowy day in New England calls for color. The winter is infamous for its sea of black, grey and the occasional white outerwear—but why shy away from color?! Last season I saw this coat from J.Crew and simply could not resist the cobalt blue and yellow accents—it is bold in color but classic in shape—I call it a win-win.

Snow delay

Well, sometimes things don't always go as planned—like train schedules. I'm delayed going to Boston but I have no complaints. I took advantage of the extra day to go out and enjoy the snow and also sit down and watercolor. Nothing beats a good snow day!

Boston is calling

I am packed and bundled up for a long (and apparently snowy) weekend in Boston. I hope everyone had a lovely New Years and is ready to begin 2014!
