Sliding into Spring...

I think I'll be a stamp collector

The last walk home for the semester

Happy 4th!

Yogi's just wanna have fun

Or as the Italians say, salute!

Translation = to good health and well-being.
Well, 2014, you've had much success in making my year out to be one globe-trotting, encouraging and eventful year.

January also calls for a big Happy Birthday shout out to firstly, my Barbour.
Thank you x1000 for being the best you can be on those brutally windy hills of Providence—never stop being you, I love you.

But, secondly (and my initial point) the big HBD is to Must Be a Lady—can you believe this little blog is turning one year old?!
They grow up so fast don't they.

The fun-filled year does not stop there.

I turned the teetering 19 years old—I'm coming for ya 20.
I collected some more stamps in my passport.
My heart was greatly influenced on my mission trip to Peru to help and give to the children.
I completed my first year of college and got a kick out of every second of it—even class time.

I went on an inspiring and rejuvenating trip of a lifetime with my mom to Venice, Croatia, Turkey and Greece—a trip I now remember as one of my greatest memories with her.

I found a dream of a summer job that made my summer my best summer yet.
I became a certified yoga instructor so I could teach at school in the fall—another perfectly fitting job for me.

I started my second year of college—holy crap.
My inner explorer itched me to go and discover the hidden gems of my little city of Providence.
I've especially learned this year to take each day as it comes.
To live each day moment by moment, not thinking ahead to "once I get to X, Y or Z, then I'll be happy".

I learned that the best way to be happy and maintain happiness is to be present, in everyday's moments.
To take the time to stop and smell the roses!
To truly enjoy and take in the beauty placed around me through my eyes not always the lens of a camera.
I learned to look deeper, admire, and wonder at the beauty of everyday encounters.

All right, All right enough sentimental recollections of 2014, it's time to look forward too.
We have a bright year ahead of us—open to opportunities, change, challenges, and love.

Let's head into 2015 with open arms & an open heart ready to tackle another year & make it one for the books.

Wishing you a happy & healthy New Year—salute!

Now that's good morning

Every morning, is a good morning.

I'm a morning person.
I'm the culprit of the non-morning people's glares and grimaces as they mumble under their breath "why are you so cheerful, it's 7:00 AM".

I have this thing for light.
I just love rising when the sun does—catching every glimmer of daylight there is especially during the cold, short, (sometimes glum) days of winter.

I'd love to tell ya I woke up at 5:00 AM to whip up those fine looking sticky-buns from scratch so they would be ready for breakfast buttttt, firstly, they were whipped up the night before and secondly, I give that credit to my mom.

I did however lay down all of those pecans—now aren't they marvelous?

I'll tell you what is marvelous—all the gorgeous, natural, morning light, in all these snapshots.

ugh—makes my heart flutter & my thumb shutter happy every time.
