Sweet song of freedom.
Freedom from classes that is—not quite yet can I throw my notebooks away and pack up my books all while singing "freeeeedom!" —I now approach finals week...dun-dun-duuuun.
With only 8 more mornings left in my little abode I'm starting to wake up even a little earlier just to enjoy my cozy corner of the room and cherish my quiet time.
I think a room has a high impact on a person's mood and productivity—it can make you tired or alert, creatively stimulated or dull of excitement—a room can even make you happy or sad or a mixture of many other emotions.
On move in day way back in August, I was determined to give my room an atmosphere of a relaxing, inviting, and uplifting space where I could call home for the next 8 months.
To start, I without a doubt needed my space to exude creativity/colors/clothes/fashion/the ocean/inspiration and just an all around refreshing vibe.
I spent that whole summer before leaving just constantly browsing Target, HomeGoods, Pinterest—everywhere!
I spent 1/2 my days at the beach and the other 1/2 crafting and collecting all sorts of odds and ends in aim of designing the perfect dorm room for myself—and I think I nailed it.
I'll admit I should start packing up my things this weekend buttttt... Ha! They might have to drag me out of my room come Saturday.
